Traditionally, soba noodles are made with buckwheat, a gluten free flour with a delicious, nutty flavour. However, some supermarket brands add wheat flour to their noodles so if you’re gluten-free, look for 100% buckwheat noodles, or substitute with your favourite gluten-free noodles.

Broccoli and sesame seeds are good dairy-free sources of calcium. Sesame seeds are also high in phytonutrients which can help to lower cholesterol. So this is a recipe you can feel great about feeding your family.
